I've wrenched all my life, but now I would like to get my scan tool diagnostics capability on a similar level as my mechanical ability which is why I wanted a nice scan tool. which is nice, but thought you all might have better ones to look at. Also do you all know of a good site to research DTC, etc.? I have briefly looked at and that seems decent and offers possible causes, etc. I also am liking their diagnostic channel on YouTube where their national trainer Jason Gabrenas does live videos. Is there a place besides YouTube you all recommend for learning? I have gone through the manual, all the Snap On diagnostic videos on this particular unit, and am going through their 40+ videos of quick tips. I did call Snap On diagnostics and spoke to someone that said it is no longer supported so it wouldn't even be repairable by them at the end of this year, which kinda sucks but pretty much figured I would be on my own anyway.īeing that this is my first bi-directional scan tool I want to take it slow and learn as much as I can, especially with things like functional tests, or any kind of programming commands, etc. I did call Snap On first to make sure it was not owed on or red flagged for anything and they said it was good to go. The scanner looks almost new and had everything with it including the case. Thank you gents, sorry for the late reply it has been a crazy last week.
